Asian ADRs Trading Higher

American depositary receipts of Asian stocks were trading 0.99% higher at 1,444.38 on the BNY Mellon Asia 50 ADR Index on Friday.

In North Asia, the gainers were led by solar panel manufacturer Yingli Green Energy (YGEHY), which soared 36.1%, followed by real estate services provider Leju Holdings (LEJU), educational services provider Puxin (NEW) and Pintec (PT), which climbed 4.7%, 2.7%, and 2.5% respectively.

The decliners in North Asia were led by social network company Mogu Inc. (MOGU) and thin-film transistor liquid crystal displays maker LG Display (LPL), which fell 4.3% and 3.2% respectively. They were followed by wealth management firm Noah Holdings (NOAH) and GDS Holdings (GDS), an operator of data centers in China, which lost 2.1% and 1.2%.

In South Asia, the lone gainer was biotech firm ASLAN (ASLN), which rose 0.6%.

HDFC Bank (HDB) led the decliners in South Asia, falling 1.5%, followed by telecommunications operator Telekomunikasi Indonesia (TLK) and ICICI Bank (IBN), which dropped 1% each. IT company Infosys (INFY) was off 0.6%
